Energy & tariff optimisation
Time-of-use prices set against your lighting plan, so the same daily light integral can be bought for less.
3Decision intelligenceWhat this module does
Enter a target daily light integral, measured canopy PPFD and lighting load. BeeGrow estimates the required lighting duration and compares start times using supported tariff data. The result is a planning estimate: the grower still checks crop requirements, equipment limits and the operating schedule.
- Costs accumulate in integer micro-pence, so 48 half-hourly additions carry no rounding drift
- Agile-style import tariffs supported through the supplier API where the customer holds an account
- Standing charge included, not quietly dropped from the comparison
- Optimisation proposes a schedule; the grower decides whether to run it
In detail
Time-of-use tariff data
A 48-slot half-hourly rate profile for your grid supply point, VAT included and standing charge shown separately, captured on a schedule so the record survives after the rates roll over.
DLI-driven photoperiod
A target DLI and canopy PPFD give an estimated lighting duration. The calculation reports achievable DLI if the requested target exceeds the available hours.
Optimal start window
Every half-hour start time is priced, including windows that run past midnight, rather than assuming overnight is always cheapest. The cheapest window still has to suit the crop.
Tariff comparison
Fixed, variable, time-of-use and agile products compared side by side on the cost of running your actual lighting load, ranked by what the photoperiod would really cost each month.
Scenario modelling
Saved scenarios keep the light power, DLI target and start hour that produced a figure, so a comparison can be re-read months later and still mean something.
Cost joined to the crop
Saved scenarios put a lighting cost on a growing plan from the load and hours you enter. Metered consumption from a linked supplier account shows what was actually used.
